There is an Ancient Egyptian story of Osiris being betrayed by his brother, Set. The chaotic brother wanted the throne which Osiris occupied. Though Set seemed to attain victory, Osiris’ wife, Isis, helped her husband secure ruler-ship in the Underworld while also managing to conceive their child, Horus. Isis knew that her son being the rightful heir to the throne would be in danger because of his uncle. So, she hid him in the marshes for protection and raised him there.
